For Mercado Design Week 2025, Studio Blai teamed up with Onaranlar Kulübü to create a series of modular tables and displays made entirely from recycled plastic. Designed for the event’s vibrant atmosphere, these units doubled as platforms for showcasing work and gathering around.
After the event, the components were reconstructed and relocated to the streets now serving as functional tables for workers across the city. One system, multiple lives.
A temporary installation designed for Mercado Design Week, later transformed into public street furniture showing how modularity extends a product’s lifecycle.
♻️ 528 kg of plastic waste reused
🌍 702 kg of CO₂ emissions avoided
💡 9,768 kWh energy saved
This project reflects our belief that temporary installations don’t have to be short-lived. Designed for adaptability, the system continues to serve the public long after the event, connecting design, sustainability, and urban life.
